TDI Sidemount in worldwide: 322 instructors on TecDiveTools, with the agencies and courses each teaches, and a summary of what students say.
TecDiveTools lists 322 instructors teaching TDI Sidemount worldwide.
Listings are ordered by how much evidence exists about their technical diving, not by a star rating, with any paid Featured listing shown first and marked as such (how rankings work). 129 of these 322 carry reviews we have read and classified as being about technical or overhead training. The count excludes recreational certifications by name, so a busy resort does not outrank a one-instructor cave operation on the volume of its reef trips. Separately, 116 have a written synthesis of what reviewers say about them. How we read and count reviews.

About the course
Sidemount teaches certified divers to configure and dive with primary cylinders mounted at the sides of the harness rather than on the back. This course covers independent valve gas management, streamlined equipment setup, and emergency drills specific to sidemount failure modes. Sidemount improves mobility in tight passages, reduces snags overhead, and enables simpler gas redundancy compared to back-mount doubles, making it a popular choice for technical progression or overhead environments.
Students must complete 3 open-water dives with minimum 90 minutes accumulated bottom time. Demonstrate mastery of: independent valve operation and gas switching, proper sidemount trim and positioning, S-drill emergency procedures, buoyancy control in sidemount configuration, and safe ascent protocols.
322 instructors on TecDiveTools teach TDI Sidemount worldwide: Mexico (78), Philippines (61), United States (51), Egypt (46), Thailand (34) and Indonesia (29), and 1 more. Each is listed above.
