Solignac runs Deep Dark Diving as a mobile cenote and cave operation out of Playa del Carmen, and the reviews divide cleanly into two things. The first is logistics: divers repeatedly describe hotel transport, cylinders, sofnolime and site selection all arranged around them, and one CCR diver who arrived with his own unit lists everything she sorted out before adding that when he developed an ear infection she pointed him at a clinic that fixed it cheaply. Two separate reviewers mention being sent to a doctor mid-trip. The second is teaching that adjusts to the person in front of her. A nervous first-time cave diver says complicated material only made sense once Solignac re-explained it; a full-cave student says she consistently identified what actually needed work rather than running a fixed script; a group new to the area credit her with pitching everything to their level. She teaches to instructor level — one reviewer took TDI Advanced Nitrox Instructor and Decompression Procedures Instructor with her — and works in French, English and Spanish, which shows in reviews left in four languages. Site judgement comes up specifically: one pair had booked Dos Ojos and El Pit and were steered to Nicte Ha instead, which they rated the better call. Divers return — one couple with twenty years of diving worldwide say there are very few people they are as happy to come back to. One caveat: a reviewer noted the rental equipment was not brand new, while still saying they felt well supervised and safe.
