Technical diving in Egypt: 96 instructors on TecDiveTools, with the agencies and courses each teaches, and a summary of what students say.

TecDiveTools lists 96 instructors teaching technical diving in Egypt.
Listings are ordered by how much evidence exists about their technical diving, not by a star rating, with any paid Featured listing shown first and marked as such (how rankings work). 20 of these 96 carry reviews we have read and classified as being about technical or overhead training. The count excludes recreational certifications by name, so a busy resort does not outrank a one-instructor cave operation on the volume of its reef trips. Separately, 20 have a written synthesis of what reviewers say about them. How we read and count reviews.

TecDiveTools lists 96 technical diving instructors in Egypt: Dahab (50), Hurghada (16), Cairo (12), Sharm el-Sheikh (12), Alexandria (2) and Marsa Alam (2), and 1 more region. The directory is not a census — it lists the instructors we have been able to verify, and grows as more are added.
Egypt's Red Sea pairs deep, clear water close to shore with genuine technical wrecks. Dahab offers deep shore diving where decompression and trimix training need no boat; near Hurghada, the Rosalie Moller sits upright at about 50 m, beyond recreational reach; and liveaboards reach the Numidia at Big Brother, which runs from 8 m to about 80 m. Visibility is often excellent.
TDI (92) and GUE (5), counted by how many of the 96 instructors listed in Egypt teach each. 1 teach more than one agency. The agency sets the standards and issues the card; the instructor sets the price and schedule.
Published whole-course prices at dive centres in Egypt, by training tier — Advanced Nitrox / Decompression Procedures: €425–€600 (7 centres); Advanced Nitrox: €370–€500 (7 centres); Extended Range: €600–€850 (7 centres); Technical Sidemount: €400–€700 (7 centres); Normoxic Trimix: €700–€3,000 (6 centres). Each figure is a centre's own published price; they differ mainly in what they include (gas, equipment, dives), so compare inclusions before numbers. Every course page lists the individual prices.
Yes — 23 of the 96 instructors listed in Egypt teach rebreather courses. Most often: TDI Air Diluent CCR (18), TDI Air Diluent CCR Decompression Procedures (17), TDI Helitrox CCR Decompression Procedures (10) and TDI Helitrox CCR (8). Diving is year-round, with hot summers and cooler winters; strong northerly winds can close some exposed boat sites.
In the northern Red Sea the water runs from about 21–22°C in winter to 28°C or more in summer. Many technical divers use a drysuit in winter for long decompression and a 5–7 mm wetsuit in summer.
