Afifi runs Dive Mania in Cairo. One long review describes a diver who went elsewhere first, lost several months and a large sum of money to centres he felt were selling certifications, and then came back to Afifi on a friend's recommendation and completed two of three planned courses. What that reviewer rates is not technique but conduct: careful, honest, and not chasing the money. Only one student has written about him publicly so far, so ask for references.
