Technical DPV in worldwide: 80 dive centres on TecDiveTools, with agencies, courses taught and a summary of what students say. 33 publish course prices.
TecDiveTools lists 80 dive centres teaching Technical DPV worldwide. 33 of them publish course prices, in the currency the shop advertises and with the date each was checked — not converted, and not estimated.
Listings are ordered by how much evidence exists about their technical diving, not by a star rating, with any paid Featured listing shown first and marked as such (how rankings work). 62 of these 80 carry reviews we have read and classified as being about technical or overhead training. The count excludes recreational certifications by name, so a busy resort does not outrank a one-instructor cave operation on the volume of its reef trips. Separately, 49 have at least one instructor whose reviews we have read and summarised — a dive centre carries no synthesis of its own. How we read and count reviews.

About the course
Technical DPV (officially 'DPV Overhead Diver' in Part 2 standards) teaches trained cave or mine divers to safely operate Diver Propulsion Vehicles in overhead environments. This course covers DPV components, maintenance, proper rigging, and dive planning that incorporates extended penetration and complex gas management with DPV support. Graduates can conduct DPV-assisted technical dives in caves and mines with proper double-turn-around procedures and emergency protocols.
Students complete 3 overhead DPV dives (90+ minutes accumulated bottom time), demonstrating proficiency with: DPV pre-dive checks and maintenance, buoyancy and trim control while scootering, proper towing procedures and team coordination, emergency procedures (e.g., disabled DPV management), gas management on DPV dives, and safe ascent protocols.
80 dive centres on TecDiveTools teach TDI Technical DPV worldwide: Mexico (14), Philippines (14), Indonesia (13), Malta (12), United States (12) and Egypt (8), and 1 more. Each is listed above.
Published prices for TDI Technical DPV worldwide range across 8 centres in the TecDiveTools directory — roughly US$250 to US$550 at current exchange rates. In each centre's own currency: €230–€295 (4 centres), IDR 6,000,000–8,000,000 (3 centres) and ₱33,250 (1 centre). Prices differ mainly in what they include, so compare the inclusions before comparing the numbers. Prices were last checked in September 2026.
Between 1 and 4 days, based on the durations 4 centres publish for it worldwide. The time depends on the centre's schedule, weather, and how quickly the required skills are demonstrated — agencies set a minimum number of dives, not a fixed number of days.
At the same tier in TecDiveTools' cross-agency comparison, dive centres worldwide also teach IANTD Tek DPV Diver (24), RAID DPV (5) and PADI TecRec DPV (1). They are comparable rather than interchangeable — each agency sets its own standards and card, so check which one your next course accepts.
