Technical Diver in the United States: 8 dive centres on TecDiveTools, with agencies, courses taught and a summary of what students say. 2 publish course prices.
TecDiveTools lists 8 dive centres teaching Technical Diver in the United States. 2 of them publish course prices, in the currency the shop advertises and with the date each was checked — not converted, and not estimated.
Listings are ordered by how much evidence exists about their technical diving, not by a star rating, with any paid Featured listing shown first and marked as such (how rankings work). 6 of these 8 carry reviews we have read and classified as being about technical or overhead training. The count excludes recreational certifications by name, so a busy resort does not outrank a one-instructor cave operation on the volume of its reef trips. Separately, 5 have at least one instructor whose reviews we have read and summarised — a dive centre carries no synthesis of its own. How we read and count reviews.

About the course
Deep open-circuit technical diving to 180 fsw (55 msw) using custom-blended nitrox and trimix gas mixtures for extended bottom time and optimal decompression. Candidates gain comprehensive knowledge of EANx operating limits and the application of enriched air and pure oxygen for optimized decompression procedures. This certification unlocks technical wreck, cave, and depth-extension training; it's the foundation for all open-circuit technical specializations.
Gas blending and mixture selection for depth and bottom time, decompression procedures and oxygen toxicity management, single and multi-gas-switch scenarios, emergency procedures at depth and during decompression, buoyancy and trim at technical depths
The centres listed above teach IANTD Technical Diver in United States. Requirements are set by the agency, not the centre, so they are the same wherever you train — what differs is price, class size and how much diving is included.
8 dive centres on TecDiveTools teach IANTD Technical Diver in the United States: North Florida Cave Country (6), Florida West Coast (Tampa Bay) (1) and Southeast Florida (1). Each is listed above.
Deep training usually means offshore wrecks — the Spiegel Grove and Bibb at around 40 m off Key Largo, and the USS Oriskany, whose flight deck at about 43 m and sand at about 65 m take you into trimix territory.
At the same tier in TecDiveTools' cross-agency comparison, dive centres in the United States also teach TDI Extended Range (23). They are comparable rather than interchangeable — each agency sets its own standards and card, so check which one your next course accepts.
