DPV Diver in the United States: 6 dive centres on TecDiveTools, with agencies, courses taught and a summary of what students say. 2 publish course prices.
TecDiveTools lists 6 dive centres teaching DPV Diver in the United States. 2 of them publish course prices, in the currency the shop advertises and with the date each was checked — not converted, and not estimated.
Listings are ordered by how much evidence exists about their technical diving, not by a star rating, with any paid Featured listing shown first and marked as such (how rankings work). 4 of these 6 carry reviews we have read and classified as being about technical or overhead training. The count excludes recreational certifications by name, so a busy resort does not outrank a one-instructor cave operation on the volume of its reef trips. Separately, 4 have at least one instructor whose reviews we have read and summarised — a dive centre carries no synthesis of its own. How we read and count reviews.

About the course
This specialty training qualifies IANTD Open Water Divers to safely operate diver propulsion vehicles (scooters) in open-water environments up to their existing depth limitations, enabling extended range and efficient distance coverage for deep diving and expedition work while maintaining proper buoyancy and trim. The course teaches DPV attachment, towing configurations, emergency procedures, and out-of-air contingencies while operating a scooter.
Demonstrate mastery of DPV attachment and towing configurations, emergency procedures, out-of-air contingencies while operating a scooter, and proper buoyancy/trim control.
The centres listed above teach IANTD DPV Diver in United States. Requirements are set by the agency, not the centre, so they are the same wherever you train — what differs is price, class size and how much diving is included.
6 dive centres on TecDiveTools teach IANTD DPV Diver in the United States: North Florida Cave Country (5) and Florida West Coast (Tampa Bay) (1). Each is listed above.
Deep training usually means offshore wrecks — the Spiegel Grove and Bibb at around 40 m off Key Largo, and the USS Oriskany, whose flight deck at about 43 m and sand at about 65 m take you into trimix territory.
