DPV Cave in the United States: 15 dive centres on TecDiveTools, with agencies, courses taught and a summary of what students say. 3 publish course prices.
TecDiveTools lists 15 dive centres teaching DPV Cave in the United States. 3 of them publish course prices, in the currency the shop advertises and with the date each was checked — not converted, and not estimated.
Listings are ordered by how much evidence exists about their technical diving, not by a star rating, with any paid Featured listing shown first and marked as such (how rankings work). 14 of these 15 carry reviews we have read and classified as being about technical or overhead training. The count excludes recreational certifications by name, so a busy resort does not outrank a one-instructor cave operation on the volume of its reef trips. Separately, 13 have at least one instructor whose reviews we have read and summarised — a dive centre carries no synthesis of its own. How we read and count reviews.

About the course
DPV Cave covers safe use of a diver propulsion vehicle (scooter) inside a cave system: planning around the reduced gas reserves that increased range creates, scooter-specific emergency procedures, and team scootering technique in an overhead environment. It's for certified cave divers who want to extend their range well beyond what finning allows, for exploration or long-line cave dives. It requires real cave experience first — TDI wants divers comfortable in the cave environment before adding a scooter to the mix. It's taught with the diver's own scooter inside a cave system, over 3 dives of at least 90 minutes each, and it's a natural pairing with Stage Cave Diver for divers pushing into deep cave systems. No fixed depth — cave dives are limited by gas planning and distance from the exit rather than a stated maximum depth.
The centres listed above teach TDI DPV Cave in United States. Requirements are set by the agency, not the centre, so they are the same wherever you train — what differs is price, class size and how much diving is included.
15 dive centres on TecDiveTools teach TDI DPV Cave in the United States: North Florida Cave Country (14) and Florida West Coast (Tampa Bay) (1). Each is listed above.
Florida's springs are the other classic cave-training ground besides Mexico, and the conditions are the difference: strong outflow in many systems, water around 22°C (72°F) all year and sometimes tannic, lower visibility. You learn to manage flow, gas and line in harder conditions, and divers who train here often find Mexican caves easy by comparison.
At the same tier in TecDiveTools' cross-agency comparison, dive centres in the United States also teach IANTD Adv. Cave - DPV Diver (5). They are comparable rather than interchangeable — each agency sets its own standards and card, so check which one your next course accepts.
