Tec 45 in Thailand: 2 dive centres on TecDiveTools, with agencies, courses taught and a summary of what students say. 2 publish course prices.
TecDiveTools lists 2 dive centres teaching Tec 45 in Thailand. 2 of them publish course prices, in the currency the shop advertises and with the date each was checked — not converted, and not estimated.
Listings are ordered by how much evidence exists about their technical diving, not by a star rating, with any paid Featured listing shown first and marked as such (how rankings work). 2 of these 2 carry reviews we have read and classified as being about technical or overhead training. The count excludes recreational certifications by name, so a busy resort does not outrank a one-instructor cave operation on the volume of its reef trips. Separately, 2 have at least one instructor whose reviews we have read and summarised — a dive centre carries no synthesis of its own. How we read and count reviews.

About the course
Advance your technical diving skills with staged decompression and deeper dive planning at intermediate depths. This intermediate course builds on Tec 40 fundamentals, introducing multiple staged decompression stops, longer bottom times, and deeper technical exploration. You'll master advanced buoyancy control, decompression procedures with multiple gas switches, and contingency planning for deeper technical environments. Tec 45 represents the midpoint of PADI's open-circuit technical progression and unlocks eligibility for Tec 50 and specialty advanced courses.
Successful planning and execution of single and repetitive decompression dives using single decompression cylinder with up to 100% oxygen, proper double-cylinder management (back-mount or sidemount configuration), complex gas switching, extended decompression procedures, and execution to maximum 45m/147ft.
The centres listed above teach PADI TecRec Tec 45 in Thailand. Requirements are set by the agency, not the centre, so they are the same wherever you train — what differs is price, class size and how much diving is included.
2 dive centres on TecDiveTools teach PADI TecRec Tec 45 in Thailand: Koh Tao (1) and Phuket (1). Each is listed above.
Koh Tao's deeper pinnacles are close enough for routine decompression training, and warm water keeps long stops comfortable. Trimix depths mean going offshore: the Gulf's technical wrecks lie at 43–75 m.
Published prices for PADI TecRec Tec 45 in Thailand range across 2 centres in the TecDiveTools directory. That is THB 24,000–29,500 (2 centres). Prices differ mainly in what they include, so compare the inclusions before comparing the numbers. Prices were last checked in September 2026.
Between 3 and 4 days, based on the durations 2 centres publish for it in Thailand. The time depends on the centre's schedule, weather, and how quickly the required skills are demonstrated — agencies set a minimum number of dives, not a fixed number of days.
At the same tier in TecDiveTools' cross-agency comparison, dive centres in Thailand also teach TDI Decompression Procedures (24). They are comparable rather than interchangeable — each agency sets its own standards and card, so check which one your next course accepts.
