Tec 40 in Indonesia: 2 dive centres on TecDiveTools, with agencies, courses taught and a summary of what students say.
TecDiveTools lists 2 dive centres teaching Tec 40 in Indonesia.
Listings are ordered by how much evidence exists about their technical diving, not by a star rating, with any paid Featured listing shown first and marked as such (how rankings work). 1 of these 2 carry reviews we have read and classified as being about technical or overhead training. The count excludes recreational certifications by name, so a busy resort does not outrank a one-instructor cave operation on the volume of its reef trips. Separately, 1 have at least one instructor whose reviews we have read and summarised — a dive centre carries no synthesis of its own. How we read and count reviews.

About the course
Take your first leap into technical diving with this entry-level course that introduces decompression diving, double-tank configurations, and professional technical equipment setups. You'll learn decompression theory, staged-ascent procedures, double-tank manifold configuration, and gas management for dives requiring mandatory stops. Tec 40 is the gateway to the PADI TecRec pathway and mastering it opens progression to Tec 45, Tec 50, and advanced technical specialties.
Successful planning and execution of limited decompression dives to 40m/130ft with mandatory staged stops, proper double-tank manifold setup and rigging, use of up to 50% oxygen as decompression gas, emergency procedures, and teamwork in technical environments.
The centres listed above teach PADI TecRec Tec 40 in Indonesia. Requirements are set by the agency, not the centre, so they are the same wherever you train — what differs is price, class size and how much diving is included.
2 dive centres on TecDiveTools teach PADI TecRec Tec 40 in Indonesia. Each is listed above.
Walls drop past technical depths close to shore in Bali, Bunaken and Alor, which makes deep and decompression training efficient. Currents can be strong and change quickly, so choose an operator who plans dives around the tides.
At the same tier in TecDiveTools' cross-agency comparison, dive centres in Indonesia also teach TDI Advanced Nitrox (21) and RAID Decompression (3). They are comparable rather than interchangeable — each agency sets its own standards and card, so check which one your next course accepts.
