Adv. Cave - DPV Diver in Indonesia: 1 dive centre on TecDiveTools, with agencies, courses taught and a summary of what students say.
TecDiveTools lists 1 dive centre teaching Adv. Cave - DPV Diver in Indonesia.
Listings are ordered by how much evidence exists about their technical diving, not by a star rating, with any paid Featured listing shown first and marked as such (how rankings work). 1 of these 1 carry reviews we have read and classified as being about technical or overhead training. The count excludes recreational certifications by name, so a busy resort does not outrank a one-instructor cave operation on the volume of its reef trips. Separately, 1 have at least one instructor whose reviews we have read and summarised — a dive centre carries no synthesis of its own. How we read and count reviews.

About the course
This advanced cave specialization teaches divers already certified as Technical Cave Divers to operate diver propulsion vehicles (DPVs) in cave environments, enabling rapid transit through extended horizontal passages while maintaining precise line following and navigation in overhead conditions. You'll master DPV attachment procedures, scooter operation in silt-prone environments, buoyancy control while piloting, and emergency procedures specific to DPV failures in confined spaces. This course unlocks access to remote cave passages and extensive cave systems that would be impractical on fin power alone, bridging recreational cave diving and elite technical cave exploration.

Southeast Sulawesi's caves are warm (around 26°C), clear and nearly flowless, with road access close to many entrances, and much of the region is still unexplored. That makes it a Mexico-like place to progress from cavern to full cave in Asia, and one where trained cave divers can still join survey and exploration work.
