Chong — usually CD Chong — has trained PADI instructors for more than twenty years and is among the most experienced instructor trainers working in Bali, with teaching across Malaysia and Borneo, Indonesia, Australia, Thailand, the Maldives and Sri Lanka. Alongside the instructor development work he teaches the overhead progression, and the review that names him for it is unambiguous: a diver who did cavern, intro and full cave with him calls him "the unmatched teacher and instructor that you can ask everything for". He also comes up in r/CaveDiving as one of the few names given when people ask where to train in cave in Asia, though he is based in Bali rather than at the caves. Cave instruction in Indonesia is a small field and most of what is written about Chong concerns instructor development, so ask him for references from cave students.
