Photography Instructor
This course trains instructors to teach Underwater Photography specialty—skills and equipment knowledge enabling divers to capture compelling images and video underwater. Instructors learn camera operation and settings, lighting principles, composition and subject positioning, strobes and auxiliary lighting, color correction and white balance, post-processing overview, and teaching methodologies. Photography Instructor status opens a dedicated student market; photography students often become the most engaged divers, frequently booking additional dives to refine their visual documentation skills. This specialty appeals to casual photographers building portfolios and serious imaging enthusiasts.
Prerequisites
Minimum 18 years old; RAID Open Water Instructor certification; currently certified as a diver in the Photography specialty; complete registration with mandatory documentation.
