Limited Trimix Rebreather Instructor Course
Trains instructors to certify limited-depth trimix diving on closed-circuit rebreathers, combining advanced CCR operation with moderate-depth trimix gas management. This course is for experienced rebreather instructors who want to expand into trimix-capable CCR training and serve the growing technical rebreather community. The program covers rebreather-specific trimix physiology, hypoxia and hypercapnia management on CCR, staged decompression with rebreather bailouts, and safe progression pathways for CCR trimix students.
Prerequisites
Minimum 21 years old. Either: (a) RAID Deco 50 OC Instructor plus current RAID Rebreather Instructor status, OR (b) completion of rebreather manufacturer's Instructor Development Program with factory-approved trainer plus RAID Limited Trimix Diver certification held for 12+ months. Must have 200+ logged underwater hours overall with at least 100+ on the specific CCR unit. Must hold RAID First Aid and Oxygen Provider Instructor certifications (and RAID Sidemount Instructor if using sidemount configuration). Must own the CCR used during training. Medical clearance, liability insurance, and CCR factory approval required.
