Adv. Mine - Sidemount Diver

Official course standards ↗Last updated September 7, 2026

Designed for Technical Mine Divers, this course teaches deployment of sidemount cylinder configuration in flooded mines, where streamlined profiles improve navigability through narrow horizontal passages and vertical shafts common to mine environments. You'll master sidemount-specific trim and buoyancy control in silt-prone conditions, independent cylinder gas management, and emergency procedures with sidemount-specific failures. Sidemount mine diving unlocks access to severely restricted passages and tight shafts within mine systems that are impassable with conventional back-mount rigging.
