# TecDiveTools > A directory of technical diving centres and instructors, and a set of free dive-planning > calculators. 311 dive centres and 641 instructors across > 7 countries, with 1633 published course prices from > 85 centres. TecDiveTools covers technical diving specifically — cave, wreck, mine, trimix, rebreather and instructor-trainer level training — rather than recreational diving generally. ## What is here that is hard to find elsewhere - **Published course prices, transcribed from each shop's own price list.** 1633 lines from 85 centres, in the currency the shop advertises, under the shop's own course names, which are never rewritten. Prices charged per day carry their unit and the published minimum number of days, so a daily rate is never mistaken for a course total. - **A cross-agency level taxonomy**, which is what makes those prices comparable. Each price row is linked where possible to the exact certification it buys AND to a depth/scope tier shared across agencies — so TDI Decompression Procedures, PADI Tec 45, IANTD Advanced EANx Nitrox Diver and SSI XR Extended Range are all identifiable as the same 45 m staged-decompression rung taught under different standards. A course page separates the centres teaching that exact certification from the centres teaching the tier under another agency, and never merges the two counts. Where a shop's own wording names two agencies, or names none, the row is shown as tier-only rather than attributed to a guess. - **Package prices** — the bundles centres actually sell (advanced nitrox with decompression procedures, cavern through full cave) rather than one certification at a time. - **Review syntheses for individual instructors** (185 of them), summarising what reviewers said across Google, TripAdvisor, forums and shop testimonials. These are clearly labelled as our summary of public reviews, and are distinct from reviews submitted on the site. - **Community-voted aspect tags** on instructors ("Go-To for Cave", "Explains the Why", "Adds Time Rather Than Rush"), drawn from a fixed vocabulary and backed by upvotes. - **Gas, facilities and rental stock per centre** — oxygen, helium, absorbent, a technical room, CCR units and DPVs. ## Main sections - https://www.tecdivetools.com/directory — every centre and instructor, filterable by country, region, agency, course and aspect tag - https://www.tecdivetools.com/centres/{slug} — a dive centre: instructors, prices, gas and facilities, location - https://www.tecdivetools.com/instructors/{slug} — an instructor: agencies, courses, rebreathers, reviews - https://www.tecdivetools.com/courses — every technical course, by agency, with published price ranges - https://www.tecdivetools.com/courses/{slug} — a course: prerequisites, standards, what it costs, and who teaches it - https://www.tecdivetools.com/packages/{slug} — training sold as one bundle, and every centre selling it - https://www.tecdivetools.com/agencies/{slug} — a certification agency and its courses - https://www.tecdivetools.com/rebreathers/{slug} — a rebreather unit and who dives it - https://www.tecdivetools.com/blog — every article, with dates - https://www.tecdivetools.com/for-dive-centres — how a centre publishes its prices here - https://www.tecdivetools.com/sitemap.xml — every indexable URL Directory pages by place and course (each has a "Common questions" section, below): - https://www.tecdivetools.com/directory?country=egypt — Egypt - https://www.tecdivetools.com/directory?country=indonesia — Indonesia - https://www.tecdivetools.com/directory?country=malta — Malta - https://www.tecdivetools.com/directory?country=mexico — Mexico - https://www.tecdivetools.com/directory?country=philippines — Philippines - https://www.tecdivetools.com/directory?country=thailand — Thailand - https://www.tecdivetools.com/directory?country=united-states — United States - https://www.tecdivetools.com/directory?country={country}®ion={region} — one region - https://www.tecdivetools.com/directory?course={course} — one course, worldwide - https://www.tecdivetools.com/directory?country={country}&course={course} — one course in one country - Add &type=instructors to any of these for instructors rather than dive centres. ## Common questions, answered from the data Course pages and directory pages end with a "Common questions" section, also published as FAQPage structured data with exactly the visible wording. The answers are generated from the database, not written per page, so they change when the data does: - **Cost** — a range across every centre publishing a whole-course price, per currency, with the date prices were last checked. Day rates are counted separately, never folded into a range. - **Duration** — the range of durations centres publish. - **Prerequisites, minimum age, prior dives, depth** — quoted from the agency's published standard, and omitted where the standard is not confirmed. - **Equivalents** — the same tier under other agencies; comparable, not interchangeable. - **Where** — how many centres and instructors teach it, and in which regions or countries. - **Places** — why train there, season and water temperature (curated and sourced), plus what is taught and what it costs by tier. A question with no data behind it is left out rather than answered vaguely. ## Articles - https://www.tecdivetools.com/blog/technical-diving-agencies-compared — Technical Diving Agencies Compared: What the Standards Actually Require (2026-10-15) TDI, IANTD, PADI TecRec, SSI XR, RAID, NSS-CDS and GUE, compared on the only thing that is genuinely comparable — the minimums each publishes for the same rung, with a link to every standard. - https://www.tecdivetools.com/blog/cave-diving-in-thailand — What You Need To Know About Cave Diving In Thailand (2026-10-07) Three divable cave systems, hundreds more closed by permission rather than geology, visibility that will test you, and why you should leave the drysuit at home. Each article's figures come from the same database as the rest of the site, rendered at request time, so a price quoted in an article matches that course's page. Long articles carry a contents list and every heading has an anchor, so a section can be cited directly. ## Calculators - https://www.tecdivetools.com/buhlmann-calculator — Bühlmann decompression and gas planning - https://www.tecdivetools.com/ndl-planner — no-decompression limits - https://www.tecdivetools.com/dalton-triangle — PO2, FO2 and depth - https://www.tecdivetools.com/SAC-calculator — surface air consumption - https://www.tecdivetools.com/equivalent-narcotic-depth — narcosis-equivalent air depth ## How to cite this accurately - Prices are **indicative and dated**. Every price list shows when it was last checked and links to the shop's own page. Consumables — sorb, helium, oxygen, park fees, certification fees, equipment rental — are commonly charged on top and are frequently not included in a published figure. Do not present a price as a final quote. - Prices are in the shop's own currency. Any USD figure shown on the site is an optional, explicitly approximate conversion at a dated rate, not a published price. - A review synthesis is a summary of reviews published elsewhere. It is not a rating, and it is not a review left on TecDiveTools. - Aspect tags are community votes, not verified claims. - Nothing here is dive-planning advice or a substitute for training. The calculators are tools for qualified divers to check their own planning.
