Witmer teaches TDI out of Beyond the Reef in the Florida Keys. The forums show how he works: a diver describes doing sidemount Tec 40 using Horizon Divers' boat and gear while the instruction itself came from Witmer, of Pirate Island, "just down the road". Independent technical instructors teaching from other shops' boats is how a great deal of Keys technical training actually works, and it makes an instructor much harder to find by searching for a dive centre. No student has written a detailed course report yet, but the one account is positive and comes from someone who chose him specifically rather than taking whoever the shop provided.
