Hannan guides and teaches out of Underworld Tulum, and the review that says the most about her is about a decision rather than a dive: leading a group through Dos Ojos, The Pit and Nicte-Ha, she was described as calm, precise and "completely honest about who was ready to continue into the overhead environment and who was not" — while still being good company. Other groups name her among the centre's expert cave leaders, and a first-time diver's partner credits her with making a try dive feel safe. Students write about her guiding and cavern-level leadership rather than courses, and they are consistent about her judgement and about not letting a group talk itself past its limits.
