Turek teaches TDI and IANTD out of Cave Adventurers in the Florida panhandle, where he is Edd Sorenson's head instructor — and in a shop whose reviews are overwhelmingly about Sorenson, students still go out of their way to name Turek. A student thanking the shop for a full run of advanced classes with Sorenson ends by naming him too. Another completed Sidewinder rebreather training with both of them and calls it exceptional. In the forums he is recommended on his own account: a diver who passed cavern and intro with him writes about how nervous he had been going in, and a thread on Razor sidemount rigs and training singles him out — "Michal Turek is fantastic as well. I like his teaching method and style. If you take his Sidemount course, you'll know" — which is the closest thing his coverage has to a signature endorsement. He appears in Florida cavern-instructor shortlists alongside the panhandle shops. Fewer students write about him than about Sorenson, but what they say is consistent, and sidemount is what they name him for first.
