Dahan teaches out of Zero Gravity in Puerto Aventuras and gets some of the warmest course reports on ScubaBoard, from two separate students in the same thread. One called it "easily the best diving course (and possibly the best course on any topic) I've ever taken," describing him as professional, calm, patient, observant and direct with feedback, happy to stay late, and consistently explaining why a skill is taught the way it is rather than just drilling it. The same student's summary of him — "Laurent is a quiet professional. He doesn't have a big social media presence or push his 'brand'" — is worth knowing if you are picking an instructor by Instagram presence. A second student, who stacked a drysuit primer, doubles primer and Fundamentals back to back, noted his dry French humour takes a couple of days to read but rated the instruction highly regardless.
