Garnier Landon has been an IANTD instructor trainer since 2022, manages Jg.scubadiving in Playa del Carmen and founded Halocline Explorers, a boutique operation doing private cenote diving, cave guiding and technical training. His reviews span open-circuit technical and wreck courses, cave on the Triton rebreather, and Triton refreshers for divers already qualified on the unit who have been away from it. That last is a service few instructors are asked for and it brings people who can judge the teaching against their own original training: one such diver says it was "absolutely worth doing, as some procedures have changed for the unit". The consistent description is high standards delivered without tension — "combines high safety standards with a relaxed teaching style that makes technical diving approachable" — with the explanation done calmly and the emphasis on improving the diver rather than completing the syllabus. Several reviewers are diving professionals themselves: one working technical instructor describes always knowing the exact task at hand because of how he explains and demonstrates; another has dived with him in several countries and credits him as the first person who really improved their diving. A diver who did ten days of advanced CCR cave with him in Quintana Roo singles out his understanding of the complex Mexican systems specifically. Rebreathers, wreck and cave all appear, which is a wide span, and the reviews do not thin out at the deep end.
