Wyatt is one of the names that comes up first whenever someone asks ScubaBoard for a Florida cave instructor, and has for close to twenty years — a 2008 poster recommending him for cavern and a 2025 thread naming him as one of two choices in Florida. Students describe demanding but generous teaching: "he's not easy on you, but he's near the top in terms of what he can offer", and another notes he lets the student pick which agency to certify under because in his view the training is the same either way. He teaches backmount and CCR cave as well as open circuit, runs a week-long comprehensive course for divers starting out in caves, and wrote ScubaBoard's long-standing "How to choose a Cave Instructor" post himself.
