Weber's students describe an instructor who keeps working the problem after the course is over. One rebreather diver came to him with a unit that would not behave; Weber spent hours with the manufacturer, then more hours in the water with him until it was resolved and the diver was comfortable on it. That pattern — extra classroom time, extra water time, no clock-watching — recurs across his advanced nitrox and decompression, Tec 40, Hollis Prism 2 and CCR courses. A fellow NAUI instructor who took AN/DP with him singled out his professionalism and attention to detail and said he felt safe throughout. His public-safety work draws the same comments: an agency he built a dive team for from scratch praised him and his crew for explaining the reasoning behind practices rather than just the practices, and for staying late to talk through local conditions and gear.
