Wagner is a Hungarian cave instructor and explorer who co-owns GoDiveMEX in Playa del Carmen, became GUE's Cave 2 instructor for the region in 2024. She draws unusually detailed course reports, and they agree with each other. A Basic Fundamentals team found her easy to reach and clear by email well before the class, then "one of the more effective dive instructors I've had the chance of working with" in the water — candid about what needed fixing while still accommodating, with feedback specific enough to act on immediately. A Cave 2 team who had trained with her since their 2023 Fundamentals describe a six-day course running 07:30 to 19:00, six or seven hours in the water, and debriefs "that make you rethink your life choices". The theme running through that report is that she tests understanding rather than recall: it was not enough to know the Hogarthian setup, they had to explain why the primary regulator sits on the right post, and they were questioned on the difference between an LP and an HP hose burst. The course built from dry runs in a park through complex traverses at Mayan Blue, planned against a physical map, into erroneous failures — every light gone but one backup, both divers with manifold failures — and a blind exit through a restriction. She kept the result to herself until the team was back at the shop, then gave individual feedback in person and followed it with a written summary, which the student singled out as the right call after six exhausting days. She also mentored the same team for two unofficial days afterwards, helping them lead complex dives independently, and showed them the project management behind her Eden re-survey — a 35-diver undertaking. Divers who train with her over a longer arc consistently describe a mentor rather than a one-course instructor.
