Antoine Martin

Martin runs Bali Dive Trek in Amed and is, by several accounts, the only instructor in the region teaching at the top of the range — dual rebreather, Mod 3 and similar. Technical divers consistently praise the operation itself rather than just the teaching: gas prep described as perfect, well-drilled staff, surface support better than reviewers had experienced anywhere, and their own tanks filled with attention to CO contamination. One rebreather diver was given post-dive bubble measurement to personalise his gradient factors, which is unusual at any price. Not every student agrees. A former student who did much of his technical training there rated the centre two stars, calling Martin a great diver but finding his mentorship and fast-paced teaching wanting, and some of the feedback personal rather than technical — while noting the rest of the staff were respectful and patient, and that regionally there are few alternatives at that level.
